Faith

Believing in the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. Every Mason must have a belief in the Fatherhood of God and Brotherhood of Man with the faith and belief that there is life after death.

Hope

The confident expectation of what God has promised and its strength is in His faithfulness.

As Masons, this is symbolic of a hope in immortality and trusting that the work we do on Earth will be rewarded in the afterlife. We know tomorrow will be better than today and our lives are better guided when we believe in a Supreme Being.

Charity

Providing food to the hungry, clothes to the naked and aid to those in need.

To those who much is given, much is required. We believe in a collective responsibility to help those who are less fortunate, by providing scholarships, food, clothing and other assistance as according to our resources.

Dr. LaMont “Montee” Evans
Supreme Secretary of Education – Masons

First and foremost, I want to thank Illustrious Bobbie J. Meeks, 33º – Supreme Grand Master/1st Vice President and Illustrious Kenneth L. Hollowell, 33º – Supreme President/CEO for this re-appointment and opportunity to serve as the Supreme Secretary of Education – Masons. Education is one of the three critical areas why Brothers join our Order and Freemasonry in general. Many desire for us to open up the secrets, but also to broaden their knowledge and perspective. We can do this and I am committed to making 2023/2024 the Year of Education which aligns with our 2023/2024 Supreme Grand Lodge theme “Staying the Course: Finish Strong!

My focus for these first few months are to get National District Secretaries of Education in place to serve as leads for our Grand Lodges. We will maintain those who held the seat as of July 2023, unless they decide to not accept the role. We will also release new material for the Grand Lodge Workbooks that complement much of the work done by Illustrious Emory D. Faucette, 33º and the Supreme Grand Lodge Educational Team. If it works, let us use it. If it needs tweaking or adjusting, let us do that. But, we don’t need to start over or do away with what a prior leader put in place. We have to maintain solidarity and consistency for the good of Brotherhood.

Below you will find seven (7) Study Sheets that once downloaded and answers found, you will be prepared to take the Masonic Leadership Test. I encourage you to use your IFAMM 2017 Revised Masonic RitualKing James Version Bible, IFAMM Supreme Leadership Workbook alongside some Brothers who can help you in those areas where you may need help.

The Masonic Leadership Test Study Sheets have been laid out to assist Brothers understand the various components of the Leadership Test and the information needing to be taught or learned to pass the test. Once you have downloaded and studied these key areas of the test, you will be ready to take the test. It is an open book test and timed (80 minutes) so that brothers are given ample opportunity to tap into their inner genius. I believe all we have to do is call forth the best within every Brother and he will certainly bring his best forward.

While 99 questions may seem like a lot, once you really start looking at them, you’ll bring to the front of your mind all the things the Worshipful Master, Senior Warden and Junior Warden taught you in your early days as an EAFC or MM. I encourage you to form a study group and take one section at a time, we’re making good men be better by providing the tools and resources to improve ourselves in Masonry.

Should you get stuck anywhere or need explanation of any section, please don’t hesitate to contact your Secretary of Education or me directly via phone (404-454-5469) or email (montee@internationalmasons.org) and I’ll do my best to assist.
